Best and Worst Oscars Fashion 2010

Minggu, 07 Maret 2010

Perhaps the celebrities at Sunday night's Academy Awards were taking a cue from Oscar himself. After all, everyone wants to shine, right?

Academy Awards winner 2010 Metallics were one of the the biggest color trends of the night, alongside pastel pinks and off-whites. But no matter what hue was on display, nary a shoulder was covered with celebs favoring strapless or one-shoulder gowns.

And as always, some did fashion better than others. Here are our picks for best and worst dressed.

CHEERS:

SARAH JESSICA PARKER: Not a lot of people could have pulled off Parker's loose, pastel yellow, strapless gown, with silver metallic floral details along the bustline and back. But on her, the Chanel couture piece was stunning. She accessorized perfectly with a stack of bangles and small, floral earrings.

MERYL STREEP: Simply, Streep is both a legend and a fox. Her white Chris March gown was elegant and sophisticated, and the deep v-neck added just the right amount of femininity.

GABOUREY SIDIBE: We couldn't have said it better than Sidibe herself, when describing her blue, short-sleeved gown adorned with diamond flowers: "If fashion was porn, this dress is the money shot."

KATE WINSLET: Winslet wins the prize for the best metallic ensemble of the night: Her lovely Yves St. Laurent dress was probably our favorite of the night. Her entire look was perfection.

JENNIFER LOPEZ: In iridescent pink Armani Prive, J-Lo was an exquisite example of how to do the Oscars. Her asymmetrical gown was glamorous, interesting and fit like a glove.

QUEEN LATIFAH: Latifah's blush pink dress perfectly hugged her curves. Its sole sparkly shoulder strap turned into a diagonal waistband, accentuating her curvy figure. Truly, she was a Cover Girl.
